Daddy or Grandpa?

This is the only picture we have of James' dad, David. This is a picture of the first time David and Logan met. Doesn't he look comfortable holding his grandson? :)

Ok, so the reason I am sharing this picture is because lately Logan has loved looking through our picture albums. Anytime he sees an older person, in pictures or in real life, he calls them papa. However, when Logan was looking at our pictures the other day, we came across this one and he pointed to David and called him Daddy. I wasn't sure if I had heard him right, so I pointed to David and asked Logan who it was; again, he said Daddy. I've done this with him a few more times over the last couple of weeks, and he still insists that David is daddy. Funny no?

Killing Another 20 Minutes

The rest of the pictures are all of James and the kids, so I thought I would start out with the best: me and Lizzy! I'm not sure that she looks a whole lot like me, but I vividly remember giving birth to her, so I know she is my daughter! She is definitely the cuter one, but I do have more hair. One point for me!

This was the best picture I was able to get out of my three children. Not the best, but keep scrolling down to see what else I had to choose from!
I can't help it, I love the look on Logan's face in this picture. Unfortunately, he makes this whiny face way too often that I don't normally love it. Maybe it's because this is a silent picture that I am able to appreciate it's cuteness.

Definitely not a good moment for all three of them.

Yep, this is the most handsome man in the world. Hard to believe? Is it the girly hat or the pink pants that look like floods instead of capris? Well, I don't care what you say, I think he looks great! The saddest part is that he really came downstairs dressed like this on purpose! For whatever reason, that hat ends up on his head a lot, and all of his pajama pants were dirty, so he picked up my work out pants!

Do you all see the ghost in the picture? Honestly, that "ghost" doesn't show up when you are looking at the picture on our camera. Funny, huh? Who knew our house was haunted?

A Moment of Boredom

In all honesty, the only reason for this post is because I'm bored right now, so you are going to get a barrage of photographs and lame stories that accompany them. Sorry! This is our latest picture of Lizzy. I still haven't gotten a good picture of her smiling yet. I'm not the kind of mom that constantly has her camera in her kids faces. I totally understand why some moms are like that, but I'll let you all in on a little secret: those moms annoy me! Only because they like to overtake the lives of everybody around them just so they can get the perfect picture of THEIR kids. I should get over it... I'm working on it. I suppose the fault is mine; I should be more like these moms that bug. I will be sad one day when I realize I don't have enough cute pictures of my kids.

Logan doesn't talk a whole lot, but one thing he will talk about is his friend Coleman. James and I think it's really cute, so we had to get a picture of them together. I'm sure when Coleman is old enough he will realize what a clingy, annoying friend Logan really is. I'm pretty sure the love affair is one sided. When Coleman comes over to play, it is Logan following Coleman around constantly.

I did this sign for James for Valentines day. A few weeks before Valentines day he told me that I don't spontaneously tell him I love him enough. I always say it several times a day, but only at the appropriate times, like when we get off the phone, when he leaves for work, and... well, you know when else. :) Anyway, I decided to be spontaneous, so I told the world that I love James! (The sign is on our garage door if you couldn't tell.)

Ok, after yesterdays warm weather, I decided that I am, for sure, a cold weather type of person. Both warm and cold weather have their downsides, but I think on the whole, I prefer winter. About the only thing I don't like about it is that I don't get the reprieve of having Logan out of the house, but as this picture proves, sometimes he will play outside even in the cold!

James had the ladder out one day but when he walked away from it, Logan went up it in a flash! He is a true climber. A few times I've heard Logan whimpering in the house but it took me a while to find him. He was in the laundry room with the door shut. He figured out that opening the dryer door gives him the perfect stepping stool to get on top of the washer and dryer. He's just not bright enough to figure out how to get down.

Ok, I think I just killed 20 minutes. I hope you enjoyed the small glimpse into my strange mind (and life).

Baby Pictures

I thought it would be fun to compare baby pictures of Logan and Lizzy. A lot of people told us that the definitely looked the same in their newborn state. They are roughly the same age as each other in these pictures. The above picture is Lizzy. The bottom one is Logan. What do you think???

Logan is a great big brother. He truly loves Lizzy. He is sharing his love of books with her too. Sadly, he likes to discard the read books on top of her. Oh well. The bright side is that Logan is keeping himself entertained, he is reading to Lizzy, and I get to enjoy all the cuteness!

So, I thought I should post some pictures of Lizzy. Unfortunately, these pictures are slightly outdated, considering that babies change every day! One day James sat Lizzy up in our recliner and walked away. This is how we found her 5 minutes later. Don't you wish we were still this flexible?
Isn't she cute? I feel that there are no other words for this picture. I think she looks adorable.
Lizzy is the best baby in the world. I don't feel like I could have asked for a better baby. It took about 5-6 weeks, but after Lizzy completed Mommy's sleeping boot camp, she learned how to take naps with no further encouragement from me. It took a little bit longer for her to decide to go to sleep at night with out any help from me, but she's done it. She takes 4 naps a day and goes to bed at about 10:15. She gets up between 7 and 8 am. When she is awake, she is completely happy and never fussy! She is also gaining weight like a champ. When she was born she was 7lb 3 oz. At two weeks she was 8lb 9oz. At two months she was 12lb 1oz.
She gets lots of hugs and kisses every day, not only from me and James, but from Logan as well. We're happy she's in our home, but I'm still not ready for number 3 yet! Training a baby how to sleep is A LOT of work, and I'm not ready to repeat it.

Logan's Love Affair

So, Logan loves vacuums. I don't really know why and I don't know how long it will last. I just know that he loves them. This is what I found one night after I put the kids down for bed.
Logan is also a little clean freak. Everything needs to be in it's place. I guess he had been playing with our real vacuum and his play vacuum. When he was done playing with both, this is how he put them away! I just hope he still loves to vacuum when he is old enough to actually do a good job.

New Blogger

Ok, so I am new to the whole blogging world. I have resisted it for a long time, and I can't promise that I will be good about keeping it up. Mostly because it is VERY confusing to me. That should give you the clue that I am not very computer oriented. However, the few of you who are exposed to this sad excuse for a blog, I hope you enjoy it!
